Heather attended The Restaurant School in Philadelphia and began her career as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. She has spent nearly 25 years in the restaurant industry including the Chef & Owner of Lassi and the Pastry Chef, Forager and Liason for Print Restaurant. In 2011, Dessert Professional Magazine recognized her with a Top 10 Pastry Chefs of the Year Award. She is currently the Chef and Food Consultant for global creative agency, Mother. Heather is also co-founder of Pig Mountain: Pig Roast and Veggie Fest, a charitable feast involving an army of chefs roasting pigs, and serving up delectable side dishes, held in upstate New York each August. She is on the Board of Farm Hearts, serves on the Advisory Board for James Beard Foundation, TEDx Manhattan and culinaryagents.com, and is a member of Les Dames d'Escoffier, Women Chefs and Restaurateurs and the Chefs Coalition. New York City born and raised, Heather lives in Manhattan's West Village with her six-year-old daughter Tina who turns 37 in July.
